As we approach the end of the school year, it is time to collect all ACPS-issued Chromebooks that were checked out for home use. Please review the important dates and details below regarding the return process:
Return Location & Timing: Please return your child's Chromebook and charger to the NES Library as soon as possible, starting Tuesday, May 26th.
Device Deactivation: On Friday, May 29th, all ACPS Chromebooks assigned to NES students will be remotely turned off and will no longer be accessible.
Next School Year: New devices will be available for checkout at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year.
Need a Device for the Summer?
If you would like to check out a Chromebook for use before the next school year begins, summer checkouts can be processed through the SIVIA Center.
If you have any questions or need additional assistance, please reach out directly to Mr. LaPlant.

Kindergarten Kick-off!
What is it?
Kindergarten Kick-Off is a districtwide even to welcome incoming kindergarten students and their families to Alachua County Public Schools. Students and families will meet school staff and learn about their new school.
When and where is it?
Kindergarten Kick-Off will be held on Wednesday, May 6th at 3:30 p.m. at all schools that serve kindergarten students.
What will I need to enroll my child?
You will be able to start the online enrollment process for your incoming kindergarten student on May 6. Before school starts (the earlier, the better!), you will need to provide a copy of your child's birth certificate, immunization record, and two different proofs of residence in the parent's name. Forms can be uploaded online or brought to the school in person.

‘On Time = Reward Time’ initiative this week and it will continue!
Students who arrive on time every day will earn a special reward on Friday, and classes with the fewest tardies will win a reward every two weeks.

Each painter will receive:

✨ Kiln firing by Corks & Colors (finished pieces will be sent back to NES for pickup!)

When registering, you’ll select a 15-minute arrival window to help us keep things running smoothly. Please arrive on time and plan to finish painting within the 45-minute timeframe so we can accommodate everyone.

Each painter will select 1 of 4 ceramic options during online registration so Corks & Colors can bring the right quantities.
