A team made up of Eastside High School students Jalen Zheng and Logan Wu were among the top finishers at the recent 2026 National Catholic Forensic League Grand National Tournament.

The team, coached by Marna Weston, reached the quarterfinals in the Policy Debate category and ultimately placed 5th in the nation. Students from about 600 public and private schools across the country competed in the tournament.
