The UF College of Medicine will be conducting FREE vision screenings at Howard Bishop
Middle School on September 25, 2025 for Howard Bishop Students. Please note that this vision screening is a preliminary
assessment and should not be considered a substitute for a comprehensive eye exam. If you

We have had an awesome start to Start with Hello Week! Have your student made a new friend this week?

This week is Start with Hello Week! Start With Hello Week is a national initiative put on by the Sandy Hook Promise organization that aims to create a sense of community and belonging in schools by promoting kindness and inclusivity. There will be connection-based activities in the cafeteria all week during lunches for students to participate in. 

Monday: Students will write compliments on strips of paper  to share with their peers. 

Tuesday: Students will be invited to play jenga coincided with a kindness challenge.

Wednesday: Students will receive an airhead that also coincides with a challenge. 

Thursday: Students will be given the opportunity to write gratitude letters to someone at school who is important to them. 

Friday: Students will be invited to come under the sails and write affirmations with chalk. Please also wear green on this day.

FreeStyle Fridays is Back-This Friday, September 12th !

FreeStyle Fridays is a huge before-school event for Students and Staff two times per month on Fridays. It's an opportunity to build campus community and just have FUN.

Activities including line dancing/dancing, karaoke, board games, outdoor games, jump rope, computer gaming, etc. It’s a great way for students to make new friends, and engage with their peers, faculty/staff, and others in a fun way!

Please make sure students arrive on time so that they can participate. The event is from 8:50-9:20am on select Fridays. See the Flyer for more details!
