Congratulations to the Lincoln Middle School and Eastside High School Speech and Debate teams. Both teams participated in the Inaugural Florida Civics and Debate
Initiative (FCDI) North Central Regional Speech and Debate State Championship Qualifying Tournament held at Gainesville High School on Saturday, September 20. Avi Jutla finished 1st in Extemporaneous Speaking while Nichoals Pastore finished 2nd in Extemporaneous Speaking, while Ignacio Cervantes finished 4th in Extemporaneous Debate. All of these students have now qualified to attend the FCDI State Championship in April 2026! Congratulations Avi, Nicholas, and Ignacio.
