The 100 Black Men of Greater Gainesville, Florida have made a meaningful and lasting impact on the young men at Lincoln Middle School through their commitment to mentorship, leadership, and personal development. Their presence on campus has provided students with valuable experiences such as etiquette classes, engaging field trips, and real-world learning opportunities. One of the most impactful initiatives has been the Wells Fargo financial literacy program, where students not only gained essential knowledge about budgeting, saving, and financial responsibility, but were also given $100 to open and begin building their own savings accounts. These experiences have helped our students grow in confidence, responsibility, and preparedness for their future.
Our students genuinely look forward to each visit from the 100 Black Men of Greater Gainesville, as the mentors consistently inspire, encourage, and challenge them to strive for excellence. The relationships built through this partnership have created a strong sense of support and belonging for many of our young men. Lincoln Middle School is incredibly grateful for this partnership and the positive influence it continues to have on our school community. We look forward to strengthening and expanding this collaboration as we move into the 2026–2027 school year, ensuring continued growth and success for our students.
