Mrs. Holly Shema

We are excited to announce the launch of our new HOSA – Future Health Professionals program at Abraham Lincoln Middle School! HOSA provides students with opportunities to explore careers in healthcare, develop leadership and teamwork skills, participate in service activities, and learn more about the many pathways available in the health professions. Mrs. Holly Shema, who also teaches our Health Professions class, will serve as our HOSA advisor.

Our first HOSA informational meeting will be held on September 17 from 3:45–4:30 p.m in Mrs. Shema's classroom. Students interested in healthcare, science, leadership, or simply learning more about HOSA are encouraged to attend.

Our Health Professions class is also an important opportunity for middle school students because it introduces them to healthcare careers at an early age while helping them develop communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and other skills needed for future success. Early career exploration allows students to begin connecting what they learn in the classroom to possible high school programs, college pathways, and future careers.

We are excited to provide another opportunity for our Terriers to explore their interests and begin preparing for their futures. Thank you, Mrs. Shema, for leading this exciting new program!
