Science in action! Our 2nd graders investigated the states of matter with the UF Chemistry Club by making their very own oobleck!! They mixed, tested, observed, and discovered that oobleck doesn’t quite behave like a typical solid or liquid. What a fun way to explore science! 🔭🩵

We had a great time at our PTA Movie Night watching "Minions and Monsters" last Friday night! Thank you to everyone who came out, grabbed some popcorn, and enjoyed a fun night together. We loved seeing so many of our Meadowbrook Manatees! Thank you MBK PTA for organizing a great event!

Our kindergarteners had a bushel of fun celebrating Johnny Appleseed’s birthday last week! ❤️🍏 Throughout the week, our students explored all things apples through hands-on learning, creative crafts, and delicious activities. From making apple pie in a cup 🥧 to creating apple-themed crafts 🎨, our little learners had so many opportunities to learn, create, and celebrate!

Our manatees are learning all about manatees!🩵🩵 Mrs. Dey from the “Save the Manatee Club” visited our Media Center to teach 2nd and 3rd graders about manatees, conservation, and why protecting these gentle giants is so important! Thank you Save the Manatee Club!

Meet Barr! 🐾💙 Our students had a special visit from this hardworking police dog, who showed us how he helps keep our school and community safe. Talk about making your voice heard! 🎉📺 Some of our classes tune in to the Kentucky News Quiz on PBS LearningMedia for kid-friendly current events, and Emma from Mrs. Horne’s class took it one step further! Emma submitted a topic she wanted to learn more about, and it was featured on this week’s episode! 🥳 We love seeing our Manatees ask questions, stay curious, and take their learning beyond the classroom!

A baby chick is on the way! 🐣💛 Our Meadowbrook teachers and staff celebrated Mrs. Canty and the upcoming arrival of her sweet baby girl with the cutest party! We can’t wait to meet her!🤍🤍

How many water droplets can fit on a penny? Fourth graders put their predictions to the test! After experimenting, observing, and recording their results, they used the scientific method to see just how much water that tiny penny could hold! 🧪🔭

Shake, spill, and make 10! 🎲🔟 Ms. Popson's students used two-color counters to discover all the different ways to make 10, then drew their combinations and wrote matching equations!
