Mebane Band marches and performs in the Alachua Parade and High Springs Parade on December 13.
The day was beautiful. MMS beginning and advanced band made sure their float was in the spirit of the season, playing Christmas Carols and passing out candy for the marches.
Mr. Gamble rode his bike alongside the Alachua Float during the day. He said the beginning band did a great job handing out the candy and the advanced band was professional in their playing of music.
If you still want to hear the bands and the chorus, pop into our Holiday Concert at Mebane. Doors open at 6:00pm on Thursday evening.

Mr. Gamble especially appreciated the Kookaburra coffee, commenting: " This is great coffee, and it is high test." A staff member glowed, "The PTSA always does something nice for us, just when we need a little pick me up. The kids are more excited this time of the year. A little extra caffeine or carbs are sometimes necessary."
One of this year's elves is Mrs. Kelly Wynns (pictured far right) who is a teacher herself at Alachua Elementary. She took some time off to come in and treat the staff. She knows how important it is from the teacher's standpoint to be recognized. Also pictured are (from left to right) Ms.Hagley, Mrs. Mueller, Ms. Hoffman (teacher) and Mr. Piazza.
Remember, whatever school your child attends, the smallest gesture can mean the most any time during the year.
