Panthers, we are excited to share an EKG screening opportunity on Thursday (August 20th) from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at UF Pediatrics @ Tioga for students in Alachua County through "Who We Play For", a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping identify heart conditions that may put young people at risk for sudden cardiac arrest.
The screening event will be open to all students ages 10–25 and will cost $20 per student. Financial assistance is available through Who We Play For for families who need help covering the cost.
This is a particularly valuable opportunity for:
◾️High school students who still need an EKG for fall sports
◾️Students who anticipate participating in a winter or spring sport
◾️Students entering 9th grade next school year who may want to complete their screening early
◾️Any student or family interested in proactive heart health screening
