Hello Oak View Families,
Just a few announcements for this week.
1. All Pro Dad this Thursday, 11/20.
2. Kona Ice, this Thursday, cash only.
3. Math Team meets this Thursday, 11/20 in Mr. Sanders' room at 2:45 pm.
Hello Oak View Families,
I hope everyone had an enjoyable Veteran’s Day. Due to the colder temperatures we kept everyone inside during our celebration on Monday but it was another great production by Mrs. Pirzer and all of our amazing staff, many of whom are veterans themselves. Our students are very fortunate to witness the community support of our veteran population, past and present!
Please see below for a few updates:
Our next All Pro Dad is next Thursday, 11/20.
We are excited to announce Oak View now has a Math Team. First meeting date is Thursday, 11/20 @ 3 p.m.. Thanks to Mr. Sanders for sponsoring. Please contact him with additional questions, (sandersbj@gm.sbac.edu). This is a club designed to foster advanced thinking and teamwork with a culminating event in February at the O’Connell Center. Grade levels 6-8 are welcome. It is a great way to prepare for High School math teams.
Mower repairs needed. Our budget was reduced this year to pay for professional landscaping fees. We can no longer afford to cut our athletic field areas. We have two mowers that haven’t been used in years that we need to get running before spring. If you have any business recommendations or know someone who might be able to help, please let me know.
Thanksgiving holiday, school closed, Monday 11/24-28th.
Thank you,
Mr. Taber

Hello Oak View Families,
Please see below for a few reminders as we finish up the month of October.
1. Halloween, Friday. Please do not send students in any form of costume, mask, make-up, props, etc. for Halloween. We are not doing anything on campus Halloween related and these items are not part of the ACPS dress code. Thank you for your cooperation. On Monday, please do not send students with large amounts of candy. It disrupts the learning environment and wrappers end up all over campus.
2. 8th Grade Parent night is this Thursday at 6 pm in the Media Center. Our Guidance staff will review Magnet Program requirements in addition to High School graduation requirements.
3. Pajama pants. As a reminder, pajama pants are not allowed at school per our Code of Conduct.
4. ID’s for student check outs. If you are checking a student out, you must have a valid ID in order to check out your child.
5. PTO Ice Cream Honor Roll November 12th. If you’d like to volunteer, please click the link below.
