As part of the academy experience, each student is required to participate in the Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) affiliated with the student's academy. CTSOs are an integral part of the academy curriculum and connect classroom learning to professional organizations, leadership development, field trips, competitions, and other real-world experiences.

CTSO participation includes national, state, and local membership in the affiliated professional organization. Membership dues and academy activities create expenses that help expand the classroom experience. Some academy opportunities, including certain field trips, competitions, and other activities, may be limited to students participating in their CTSO.

The Fair Share contribution provides the student's annual membership in the academy's CTSO. Depending on the activities selected, additional fees may be required for certain events, travel, competitions, uniforms, or other academy experiences. Fair Share is due October 1, 2026.
