Greetings from Talbot! Morning mile will be canceled on Tuesday, October 6th. We apologize for the inconvenience.
PreK-9th grade families can learn more about the district's highly-successful academic/career tech magnets at the Magnet Showcase on Oct 24, 10am-1pm @ Alachua County Sports & Event Center (Celebration Point). More information at alachuaschools.net/magnets
Connect with your child's teachers on Rooms for announcements, group chats, one-on-one communications and more! It's available on your web browser or on the free ACPS mobile app. Get started at alachuaschools.net/apphelp.
5th Grade worked with UF's Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers yesterday to do hands-on science activities all about circuits and electricity! Some of the activities included making lightsabers and creating closed circuits using playdough or fruit.

3rd grade students in Ms. Romano's classes, combined research, creativity, collaboration, and engineering to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! Students researched soccer legends and took on an exciting STEM challenge: design and build a soccer stadium complete with two goalies and players that could move left and right! 🏟️⚽
Working together, students used problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to bring their designs to life. We are so proud of our 3rd graders for putting their teamwork and creativity into action! 🐯💙🧡 #TalbotTogether

We are so grateful for our Talbot community and all of the funds raised through Boosterthon! Today, the class who earned the most, celebrated with a pizza party. Congratulations Mrs. Griffis' class! We have three more pizza parties on the way for classes who raised over $4000 each - WOW! Congratulations to Mrs. Bolton, Ms. Grueser, and Mrs. Butler's classes! What a delicious way to celebrate!

We danced, we exercised, and we CELEBRATED! Our Dance Fit Challenge was the perfect way to wrap up our Boosterthon Fundraiser and celebrate all of the amazing support from our school community.
We are SO close to reaching our Boosterthon goal! Every donation makes a HUGE impact on our students and our school. Let’s finish strong, Talbot Tigers! Get those last-minute registrations and donations in tonight, then get ready to DANCE tomorrow! 🐯 #TalbotTogether
We have been busy empowering our students to become critical thinkers, problem-solvers, and confident learners! Through Instructional Empowerment, students are actively engaging in learning, asking questions, explaining their thinking, making connections, and using evidence to support their ideas.
Rather than simply finding the “right answer,” Tigers in Mrs. Schwartz's class are learning to think deeply, communicate their ideas, and understand the “why” behind their learning. 💙🧡 #TalbotTogether
