Kanapaha MIddle Schools Speech and Debate crew competed at the FCDI #4 State Qualifier at Florida Gateway College in Lake City. Over 190 High school and Middle schoolers competed with 30 schools attending. Kanapaha had 11 students competing.
Out of the 11 students, 7 students received trophies.
1st Place -Original Oratory Speech- Brynn Crawford
1st Place-Public Forum (2 person team Debate)-Tayvyn Ivey and Charlotte Leblanc
1st Place- We The People Civics Challenge- Matthew Marchick
2nd Place - Informative Speech- Keagan Landers
2nd Place - Impromptu Speech- Kenielle Nichols
5th Place- Impromptu Speech- Dominic Alza
We are very proud of all of our students and the commitment that they put in.
We are also very grateful to all the parents who help judge and bring their students.
Now on to State Championships on the weekend of April 18th and 19th. We have 18 students who have qualified to complete at State.
