Custodian Appreciation Day may have passed, but our appreciation for these four certainly hasn’t! We are so thankful for Mr. Butler, Ms. Jones, Mr. Ricks, and Mr. Porter and everything they do each day to keep our school clean, safe, and ready for our Wildcats.
So much of what they do happens behind the scenes, but the difference they make is seen and felt throughout our entire school. Thank you for your hard work, your dedication, and for taking such great care of our school every single day. We appreciate you more than you know! 💙💛🐾

Our first Surprise Attendance Day was a success! 💙💛 Wildcats who arrived on time and ready to learn this morning were surprised with $5 in Wildcat Cash!

This was only the beginning! 👀 Throughout the year, Surprise Attendance Days will pop up with different surprises and rewards for our Wildcats.

Every day matters. Every minute matters. Showing up matters.

Wildcat families, a little surprise is coming! We’re starting Surprise Attendance Days, with special incentives for students who arrive to school on time. The dates and incentives are a secret! Help your Wildcat arrive on time and ready to learn each day so they can join the fun. 💙💛

We have reached the end of another PHENOMENAL year here at Metcalfe! On behalf of the administration team, we want to extend our sincerest appreciation for trusting us to provide an outstanding educational experience for your students! It has been a pleasure to watch them learn and grow! Congratulations to our 5th grade students who celebrated their transition to middle school last Friday! The ceremony was filled with love, laughs, and tears of joy! We also want to formally acknowledge our Citizen of the Year, Juan Castano! He was honored by our Alachua County Public Schools Superintendent, Dr. Kam Patton.

We wish you a relaxing and rejuvenating summer break and look forward to seeing you in the Fall for the start of an even great year because here at Metcalfe Elementary, we DREAM, we BELIEVE, and we ACHIEVE!

The musical abilities of our Whimsical Wildcats was on full display tonight as our Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 4th and 5th grade violinists showed off their skills! We are grateful to partner with the Gainesville Orchestra, who provides professional instruction to our students! Congratulations, Mr. Norman, and our students on a performance well done!
