BRAG TAGS ARE HERE!!! Wildcat Nation, as a celebration of perfect weekly attendance, our students have the chance to earn and collect BRAG TAGS each week! For our first week, students earned the chain and our "sneaker" tag. The way you earn a tag each week is to be on time and present!! You only need three more days this week (NO SCHOOL TOMORROW). Let's see who can get the right to brag about their AWESOME attendance!!

The Metcalfe Wildcats acknowledged living a drug free life during Red Ribbon Week last week (October 24th through the 31st)! Starting off with an incredibly energetic pep rally organized by our amazing BRT, Ms. Allen, and finishing with a spirit week including Team Jersey Day, Puzzle Color Day, Pajama Day, Crazy Socks Day, and Twin Day, the students showed their commitment to living a drug free life! October's 4th grade STEAM projects, which continued our 4th grade focus on Engineering, involved building structures involving candy. The students focused on the stability, structure, and visual appeal (as well as tastiness!). Check out the creativity of some of our 4th grade scholars!

Wildcats!! Beginning tomorrow through next Friday, we will be celebrating living a drug-free life with Red Ribbon Week (October 22-31)! Each day we will focus on the powerful reminder that each choice we make is like fitting one piece of a puzzle into the bigger picture of a healthy, drug-free life. We will kick off with Unity Day TOMORROW, Wednesday, October 22, 2025. Everyone is asked to wear ORANGE to show our commitment to being unified for a drug-free life! The STEAM Magnet Program at Metcalfe Elementary offers opportunities for students to engage with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics in innovative ways from exploring with robots to building structures from household items. This event will preview the many ways that our schools provides innovative experiences for our students!
We are excited to announce the initiation of the Metcalfe Parent Teacher Association! The purpose of the PTA is to unite parents, teachers, and school staff in advocating for students, enhancing our school community, and supporting educational programs through fundraising, volunteerism, and communication. No Lights, No Problem! Yesterday, the power went out across the entire campus at Metcalfe, but that didn't stop our scholars from learning and their incredible teachers from teaching!
