Students interested in pursuing a career in military service and attending one of the nation’s U.S. Service Academies may seek a congressional nomination through Congresswoman Cammack’s office. A nomination is an important part of the admissions process for students applying to a Service Academy and provides an opportunity for students to pursue a rigorous education while preparing for a career as a commissioned officer.
Students currently interested in the nomination process should be mindful of the following upcoming dates:
Thursday, October 15, 2026: Postmark deadline to submit completed applications to the Gainesville District Office
Friday, October 23, 2026: Interview appointment letters sent out
Mid-November 2026: Personal interviews held at Camp Blanding Joint Training Center
Please note: Service Academy interviews are held in person and are mandatory for students selected to interview.
These programs provide students with valuable opportunities to pursue their academic, technological, and service-oriented goals.
The Congressional App Challenge is open to all middle and high school students in Florida’s Third Congressional District. Students are encouraged to participate by creating and submitting an original app that showcases their creativity and interest in technology.

Girls Basketball is ready to start gearing up! Conditioning starts Monday, September 28 and continues every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday until tryouts.
A meeting for girls interested in playing soccer will be held on Tuesday 9/29 in the Media Center from 3:00 - 3:15pm. Paperwork is due by 10/8. Tryouts are on October 12 at the backfield 3:30-5:30. Callbacks will be held October 13.
