It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Monday, April 20th:

REMINDER: For the safety and security of everyone on campus, please DO NOT open the entrance gate for anyone, even if you think you may know them. Students and visitors MUST ONLY be let into our campus by staff in the NHS Front Office. If you are asked to open the gate, please let them know that they must ring the bell to be buzzed in.

Due to smoke from wildfires in the area, the ACPS has stated that all after-school outdoor activities scheduled for today are cancelled; HOWEVER, the Girls' Flag Football game at Palatka Jr./Sr. High School and the Varsity Softball game at North Marion High School are outside of Alachua County and will still be played tonight. Good luck Ladies!

The last day for book checkouts from the library will be Friday (May 8th). After Wednesday (May 22nd), ALL overdue items will be marked lost and a fine will be assigned. So, please, return your library books to avoid placement on the debt list as this could affect your ability to participate in school events, including graduation.

Seniors, if you haven’t already done so, please be sure that you have ordered your cap and gown for graduation. Time is running out so visit jostens.com to order your cap and gown as soon as possible.

ACPS is continuing its Beyond the Bell program, offering virtual after-school counseling and academic advising to help boost academic achievement and emotional wellness for students. For more information, visit: www.sbac.edu/BeyondTheBell.

We are committed to the success of ALL our students! Panthers, please remember the Panther Way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments

Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com).
